Yet another amazing pop festival, this one was staged in Birmingham city centre. The two day event was headlined by Jessie J and the american heart throb NE-YO.
I was contracted by event organisers to capture the entire event and boy was it a busy one.
Here are just a few images from an amazing weekend.
It’s always great working on fashion shoots but even better when you put your models in front of 60K people! Well that’s what we did for this year Aston Villa Catalogue shoot. Armed with my team of models and assistance we roamed around Villa Park grabbing images of our models with proper atmosphere behind us.
The second phase of the photo shoot wasn’t in 40K people but it as still pretty cool. Again armed with my assistance we made our way to Aston Villa’s training ground, ‘Bodymore Heath’ just outside of Sutton Coldfield to shoot with a variety of players during their training.
Take a look at some of my favourite images. If your a Aston Villa fan and would like a copy of the 2013 catalogue make sure you register your details for one
What a line up we had at this years Chester Rocks festival which took place in the grounds of Chester Racecourse. It was great to be working for the organisers for this event as their official photographer.
The two day event was a sell out and you can see why with the acts performing.
Check out the review in pictures.
The cheeky chap from essex knows how to entertain a crowd of screaming girls and guys for that matter. Olly has been up and down the country this summer performing all his hits and I had the pleasure to join him on a selection of dates.
Check out some of the pics
A pop rock group who I am sure most of us have heard of and listened to… cue she’s so lovely! The guys at Free Radio along with Wolverhampton Race Course put on a concert and asked for me to be their official photographer, how very kind.
When I first got booked for this I expecting a little intimate gig and not a few thousand to show up, It was such a nice vibe.
Take a look at the guys rocking it.
It has to be said I was a bit worried about doing a live gig for a Jazz musician, not because I don;t like jazz because I do. My main worry was I have never see this guy perform before and thought it wasn’t going to be exciting to photograph… BOY WAS I WRONG!!!
This guy knows how to entertain a crowd, seriously! I have never seen a pop/jazz artist jump into the crowd stand on his piano and shout let me here you scream… it was like working on a rock set.
My favourite bit of this gig was it was intimate, only 100 people in the house.
It’s aways great being asked to work on a charity football match for lots of reason… most of all the look on the charities face when they see how much support they are getting!
I have been lucky enough to do quite a few of these but this one was great to work on.
The charity Help Harry Help Others, a great charity, if you haven’t heard of it before make sure you check out the link and the inspirational story of Harry who sadly passed but one thing is for sure his legacy lives on.
